Credentials
Dick Hawkes is an EMCC accredited executive coach with the University of Strathclyde. He also has a long track record at senior level as a headhunter and has previous experience in other consultancy environments. Clients have included Bain, McKinsey, BSkyB, Thomson Reuters, Vodafone, The Natural History Museum, The Institute of Physics and The Institution of Civil Engineers.
This gives him the combination of senior management consulting skills and up to date market relevance for advising on career progression, transition and management solutions.
He spent the earlier part of his career in advertising and marketing, as Board Director of McCann-Erickson and as Managing Director of two marketing services companies. He worked with a wide range of clients in sectors including consumer goods, retail and financial services, and advised the Organising Committee of the Barcelona Olympic Games on TV rights across the world. He was also an associate lecturer at Ashridge Management College for four years.
He was Chairman of Red Post Production for over ten years and Non Executive Director of a poster company. Dick has raised finance for small companies from venture capital firms.
He joined executive search firm Alexander Hughes in 1994, becoming Managing Consultant in 1998. Joining The Willis Partnership in early 2004, Dick focused on general management, board level and head of function assignments across a range of businesses, including media and the information industry, scientific institutions and trade bodies.
